Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef

  • Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain any excess grease if necessary.

Step 3: Add the Cabbage

  • Push the cooked beef mixture to one side of the skillet. Add the shredded cabbage to the empty side, letting it sauté for 3-4 minutes until it softens slightly. Mix the cabbage and beef together evenly.

  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, chili flakes (if using), and chicken or vegetable broth. Combine everything well. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
